La Vallette Marathon

The Ladies had a fantastic day at the first edition of the very hot and hilly LaVallette Marathon! It was a challenging route and every medal was well earned. Jemima Farley smashed the full marathon winning first female with an incredible time of 2:50, and there were age category prizes for our long term champs Francesca Arrigo in the half marathon and Ramona Engerer in the full marathon.

Malta Marathon Day

On what would have been Malta Marathon day, our Ladies celebrated their training by running our own half marathon from St Paul's Bay to Gzira. It was a beautiful day and everyone ran their own race. Some did their very first half marathon, others managed a PB, and some even extended and ran it as part of a longer run!

Xterra Gozo Trails

In November  2021, we had an astounding 20 members heading over to our beautiful little sister island Gozo, to run 11K, 21K, or 52K around the wild and challenging coast. These stunning routes are not to be taken lightly due to very technical and hilly terrain, and this year was made even harder by the bad weather which brought about mud slides and muddy rivers! Still, our tough ladies prevailed and every one of them finished with a smile on their face. We also took home some age category prizes, as well as 1st place and a new female course record for Jemima Farley!

Racing in Etna

In August 2021, after all the races were cancelled due to the pandemic, a bunch of ladies decided to take their hard earned training across the pond to Sicily to race various distances up Mount Etna! On a very hot Sunday morning, they made their way up through forests and over lava hills to reach the summit, where there was a brief respite from the heat before a mad dash down the steep lava gravel descent  to the finish. It was an incredible adventure and we even took home a couple of age category prizes! Definitely a race worth considering!
